What is Montessori
Maria Montessori spent many years working with children in order to develop an encouraging, stimulating program where children could learn the skills they need to eventually become responsible, productive, independent, and loving citizen of the world.
Montessori Method is based on 1-1 lesson. What distinguishes Montessori approach on others is the children use real-life work materials rather than toys, children with teachers’ supervision choose what work to do and what material to work with. In Montessori classroom, children do things themselves and learn socially acceptable ways of personal care.
Through providing a safe environment, we ensure children are well-cared during the hours away from your care. Our hands-on learning activities promote a fun and stimulating environment that helps children develop a passion for learning.
Montessori approach consists of:
- Mathematics – your child will learn the foundation of math, counting, manipulating, and working on math operations “Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division”.
- Language – your child will learn at the young age vocabulary by using small real objects, phonics, reading, and writing which will enable the child to carry a fully understandable conversation.
- Sensorial – Montessori material will help your child use the five senses in the learning process.
- Practical Life – your child will learn by using hands-on activities to build his independence, confidence, and responsibility.
- Cultural – your child will learn science concepts, botany, zoology, history, and geography.
